About the Presenter

Margaret Viebrock is a Washington State University Faculty Professor and WSU Extension Chelan & Douglas County Director.  In addition to administrative responsibilities, she manages a 3-county SNAP-Ed nutrition education program and a 6-state project for women involved in agriculture, teaches food safety, administers a diabetes prevention program and provides risk management education for farm families.  Margaret has served in a variety of leadership positions in national and state organizations and is well-known for her enthusiasm for her work, outstanding educational programs and national recognition.


About the Session
Leadership competency is changing! Have you changed the way you lead? This session will help professionals design an effective way to approach leadership development, whether learning leaderships skills, mentoring another person, or hiring new employees. Take away some easy to use leadership activities to help you discover your personal strengths, identify areas for personal improvement and increase productivity. Learn to use emotional intelligence activities and mindfulness to build employee confidence. Learn how to use core competencies to hire the best, appraise performance and implement professional development.
